Peanut Butter is a great source of quick protein and one of the most excellent pre-workout snacks, peanut butter should merely make by crushing peanuts, but if you are not aware of which jar you should choose, it might also enclose added sugar, hydrogenated oils and salt. Avoid the redundant fats and sugars by choosing natural peanut butter or make your own in a food processor.
Beans are cheap in price and low in fat, so they are a great addition to a healthy diet. But the problem is that most beans come in the can lined with BPA. Contact to this chemical has been linked to cancer, early puberty and heart disease. Canned beans also high in sodium, so soaking and boiling the beans your own is the best bet. Apple makes the perfect snack as it’s juicy, sweet and full of fiber to satiate your hunger cravings. Be sure to purchase organic apples and crunch on this fruit with the red, green or yellow peel intact.
A lot of people can’t stomach eating uncooked broccoli and would much rather munch on these florets after they cooked it. Boiling the broccoli may be traditional, but it isn’t the healthiest cooking method, as it zaps away the dietary value. When taking pleasure in this green veggie, lightly steam or cook it for only for few minutes, just to slightly soften the stem and produce a bright green tint.
